October 1 -University of Arizona Rotaract Students
Angel Heart is celebrating its tenth year as a nonprofit serving child in need. This would not be possible without the many great volunteers over the last decade.
Individuals work tirelessly helping to sort and organize pajamas as they come in from Pajama Drives or are purchased by funds from grants or donations. They fold and ribbon the pajamas and put them into bins by gender, size and even season, (winter and summer). They also help deliver pajamas to the 80 agencies Angel Heart partners with to provide pajamas and books. They assist with inventory management and organizing books according to age ranges.
In addition, Angel Heart volunteers make little cuddle pillows to go along with the pajamas and books. Angel Heart would not be able to serve the many children in distress without the 125 volunteers who come and help faithfully each week throughout the year.
April 2023 Volunteer Spotlight
It is with great pleasure that “The Volunteer Spotlight” shines brightly on Ms. Judy Welch, a retired school nurse. Judy has worked tirelessly as a volunteer since Angel Heart began as a nonprofit in 2013 serving children in need. She comes in every morning to our warehouse located at Wakefield Middle School. She organizes the pajamas, prepares them for gifting to the children by wrapping them with ribbon, selecting an age appropriate book, and placing them in a zippered plastic ag to be gifted to each child. Judy also organizes and trains other volunteers in the art of pajama folding.
Judy is a very special individual who has given her time and talent to support children who are going through difficult times. Angel Heart is blessed to have her as a volunteer and shines the spotlight on this very giving lady.
Our Angel HEARTFELT Thanks!
CONGRATULATIONS JUDY!
