PROVIDING PAJAMAS AND BOOKS TO CHILDREN IN NEED
Angel Heart Pajama Project is a 501(c)3 nonprofit agency founded in 2013 and based in Tucson, AZ. Recognizing a need in the community, our mission is “to provide new pajamas and books and to foster literacy development to children who are abandoned, abused, removed from homes and placed in foster care or live in homeless shelters in the City of Tucson, South Tucson, Marana, and in surrounding Cochise, Santa Cruz, and Yuma counties in Southern Arizona”.
Since 2013, Angel Heart Pajama Project has served close to 42,000 children in Southern Arizona. Your support can help especially children who are living in foster care homes, homeless shelters, abused or neglected, seriously ill, living in poverty, or with a disability.
Angel Heart gifts new pajamas, books and cuddle pillows to children from infancy to teens. The demographic population served is 86% Hispanic, 5% African American, 7% Native American, and 9% other. A few of the partner agencies who distribute our gifts include The Children’s Clinic, Ronald Mc Donald house, Casa de los Ninos, Mulchay YMCA Preschool, Green Valley Food Bank, and Tucson Medical Center.
Our goal is to ensure every child living in distress feels loved, gain a sense of caring from others, and feels comfort when they receive a new pair of pajamas and a new book to call their own. Angel Heart believes children have a right to wear new pajamas at night, own a new book, be valued, and have a good night’s sleep.
